These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Haven app ("Haven", "the app", "we", "us"). By downloading or using Haven, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the app. Haven is provided by Haven, based in the Netherlands. Questions: [email protected].
Haven helps you avoid online gambling and take a calmer approach to money. It blocks gambling websites and apps on your device, offers an optional pause before financial apps, and provides supportive wellbeing features. The gambling-blocking protection is free.
Haven is a best-effort tool, not a guarantee. Online gambling providers constantly create new domains, mirrors and apps. While we work hard to keep the protection effective and up to date, we cannot and do not guarantee that every gambling site, app or payment route will be blocked, or that the protection cannot be circumvented. You remain responsible for your own choices.
Haven is a self-help wellbeing tool. It is not medical, psychological, financial or legal advice and is not a substitute for professional help. If you are struggling with gambling, please seek support from a qualified professional or a gambling-help service in your country.
You must be old enough to form a binding contract and to gamble legally in your country (typically 18 or older). By using Haven you confirm that you meet this requirement.
You can use Haven's core protection without an account. If you create one, you are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for activity under your account. You must provide accurate information. We may suspend accounts that are used unlawfully or that abuse the service.
Some features — the financial protection layer — require a paid subscription, Haven Pro Plus. The following terms apply:
The free gambling-blocking protection is not affected by your subscription status and keeps working regardless of whether you have Haven Pro Plus.
You agree not to misuse the app, including: attempting to break, reverse engineer or circumvent its security, using it unlawfully, or interfering with our servers or other users.
Haven, its name, its design and its software are owned by us and protected by law. These Terms do not grant you any rights in them beyond using the app as intended.
Haven is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind to the extent permitted by law. We do not warrant that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that it will block all gambling content (see section 2).
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for any gambling losses, arising from your use of or inability to use Haven. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law, including your mandatory rights as a consumer.
You may stop using Haven at any time and uninstall the app. We may suspend or end access if you breach these Terms or use the app unlawfully.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Netherlands, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer protection rights you have in your country of residence.
We may update these Terms. Material changes will be reflected by the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, communicated in the app. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
